   For the most part, reading the entire Bible through, is something that most
Christians just don’t care to undertake. As a result they end up with very little knowledge of what the Bible actually says. I find the best Bible to comprehend is the King James Version.
  This study will help you to read the KJV and make reading fun in the process.

It gives the reader something to seek for (a quest) in each chapter of each book. You know! – Like a crossword puzzle or a word search game. Each quote will start a statement, and then ask you to finish the answer. To answer each question correctly, you must give chapter and verse location- Plus!-Answer the specifics of the question such as in the book of John, the question might be;

For God so loved the world that He gave __________________________What?

The correct answer would be;

Chapter 3:16: his only begotten Son,

No need to finish the entire verse, for the what? is His only begotten Son!- not why he gave him. Please note that, other than the way the questions are posed, all words and punctuation are a reflection of what is written in the KJV. Quotation marks may be excluded, if the answer does not go to the end of the quote. Regardless of what version of God’s Holy Word you read, it is recommended that you have a KJV in order to properly complete this course. You will find taking the course highly enjoyable and as addictive, as any word search you have ever completed. In the process of taking this course, you will also learn; how many books there are in the Bible, as well as how many chapters are in each book.

The answers are provided at the end of each book. The only other instructions are; Enjoy the course, and read your Bible! You can do this at your leisure.

  This course is designed to be an overview of the KJV, and is no-denominational in its structure. It does not endorse a particular belief or practice. It’s only intent is to give the individual and reason and a purpose for reading God’s Holy Word. It does not intend to credit nor discredit any other versions of God’s word; The Holy Bible.

  The Bible is a book made up of the works of various authors. It contains 66 different
books in total, beginning with the Old Testament, which has 39 books, The New Testament, (Life and Ministry of Christ) make up the last section of the Bible with some 27 books in total.

   The first five books of the Bible are considered the books of Moses. They are; Genesis,
Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. These books make up what is known as the Pentateuch. This is the old law with the Ten Commandments, given to Moses on Mt. Sinai by God. The Jewish church refers to this as the "Torah".  Written on parchment scrolls, the "Torah" is used in church services in their synagogues. It is the collective body of Jewish teachings. The remainder of the Old Testament is the writings of various Prophets, Kings and scribes.

   Each book in the Bible has a varied amount of chapters in each book. This study will also help you to learn about the different books, as well as how many chapters each book contains. Here is a breakdown of the different books of the Old Testament, as well as how many chapters are within each book.

    These are the books and chapters, which make up the entire Old Testament. There are 39 books total and contain a total of 929 chapters in all.

  There was approximately four to six hundred years pasted between the writing of the last books of the Old Testament, and the first books of the New Testament. The New Testament begins with the Book of Matthew and concludes with Revelations.

  There are 27 books which make up The New Testament. The first four books; Matthew, Mark Luke and John, are the Gospels of Jesus Christ. (a.k.a.- The Four Gospels). These men are among the twelve chosen by Jesus to be his Apostles. They serve in his ministry at his side, and were near him when he died.

  After the Gospels come the writings of Paul, whom Jesus called to be one of his disciples, as Paul was on the road to Damascus. He was a Pharisee, sent to Damascus to gather Christians for trial before the synagogue.  The Lord came to him in a vision,
and asked him; "Saul, Saul, why persecutes thou me?"  His name had been Saul before that time and he was among the leaders of the Pharisees, which were persecuting the followers of Jesus for their faith. This story occurs in the book of Acts, and the point when Jesus spoke to Paul can be found in Acts 9:4.

   Following the book of Acts, there are the letters Paul wrote to the Romans, to the Corinthians, the Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and the Thessalonians.

He also wrote letters to Timothy, Titus and Philemon.  Paul’s last book, the Epistle of Paul to the Hebrews, or Hebrews, has been questioned, as to whither or not Paul actually wrote this book because, it has a different style of writing and, it lacked Paul’s usual heading; "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God———-"

   The rest of the books of the New Testament are comprised of writings of Peter and James, John and Jude. Revelation is the last book of the New Testament, which was written by John on the Isle of Patmos. This is his account of the end times and the events which will take place in that day.

    The New Testament is comprised of twenty-seven books, with a total of two-hundred and sixty chapters. The breakdown of the New Testament in books and chapters are as follows;

 Matthew               28 Chapters
Mark                     16 Chapters
Luke                     24 Chapters
John                     21 Chapters
Acts                      28 Chapters
Romans                16 Chapters
1 Corinthians      16 Chapters
2 Corinthians      13 Chapters
Galatians             6 Chapters
Ephesians            6 Chapters
Philippians          4 Chapters
Colossians           4 Chapters

1 Thessalonians   5 Chapters
2 Thessalonians   3 Chapters
1 Timothy             6 Chapters
2 Timothy            4 Chapters
Titus                    3 Chapters
Philemon             1 Chapter
Hebrews               13 Chapters
 James                  5 Chapters
1 Peter                 5 Chapters
2 Peter                 3 Chapters
1 John                 5 Chapters
2 John                  1 Chapter
3 John                  1 Chapter
Jude                     1 Chapter
Revelation           22 Chapters

  As I stated earlier, the New Testament has a total of 27 books, ant all those books combined, have a total of 260 chapters. The entire Bible is comprised of 66 books, with a grand total of 1,189 chapters in the various books.

     This book is written with the common man in mind, and anyone with minimal reading skills should be able to read and do the simple assignments. Basically; it works similar to a word search game book. Begin in Genesis chapter one, and read until you find the verse being quoted, and finish the verse. If you’re writing you answer down, be sure to include the chapter and exact verse being used, and finish the verse or answer the question being asked. Have fun, and God Bless!
